The End of April In Pictures

So, once again I have been slacking in the blogging arena. On April 12th, Mike, Zane and I took my brother and his prom group to the lake for their day activity. We went out to Canyon Lake and had a great time. It was a reminder to Mike and I about our Senior prom and how much fun we had. If I had a scanner, I would scan in the picture of it here, but you all will just have to use your imaginations. We looked about the same 8 years ago, except a little lighter in weight and I definitely wasn't pregnant. Anyways, I digress. This is a picture of Randall and his date Jodi.

I apparently have also been slacking in the picture taking department. I don't have any new ones of Zane, but I do have pictures of someone else who makes me laugh harder than almost anyone else. If you don't know my little brother Randall, you are missing out. (Continue reading to try and follow my strange thought process...just ask Mike this is how I talk too. He hates it and has a hard time following me a lot of the time.)

My cousin has a little baby who is sick and needs a liver transplant. On the 26th of April, we had a charity garage sale to raise money for Gavin's transplant. If you want all of the details, check out GiftforGavin.org. (If I knew how to make this a link, I would...if anyone wants to show me how I would love to learn). Zane and I helped set things out on Friday and spent most of the day on Saturday there. It was so neat to be a witness to the many miracles that happened through all of this. This was the biggest garage sale that I have ever seen and I swear that the tables never seemed to go empty because as people bought stuff, more people donated stuff. This sale stretched from my parents yard to the end of my cousin's yard with just enough room to walk through.

The reason for telling all of this is to explain the next picture. Someone donated a full scuba set and Randall is certifying for scuba with the scouts in his ward. He didn't have any gear for it. When the gear showed up, he tried it on and it happened to fit him perfectly. Randall is not a common size so that is a miracle in and of itself. On Saturday, Mike came out and told me to go in the house to see Randall. I walked in the door to find this...

I just about fell on the floor I was laughing so hard. He walked around for a while in full gear, with an added cowboy hat for effect. When I went to get the camera, I came back to find him looking just like a fish...

I was laughing so hard. Then cut to a few hours later, and here is Randall dressed and ready to go to prom.

It is nice to know that he cleans up so nicely. This picture doesn't quite do the suit justice. It has a small, dark pin stripe on a goldish yellow suit. My dad told him to buy a conservative suit and this is what he came home with. I thought he looked really nice in it though.

So, I am proud of you if you read all of this and managed to somewhat follow my thought process. I am so grateful for such a wonderful family that supports each other and that we are able to have so much fun together. Please, if you are interested in Gavin's story, check out his blog GiftforGavin.org to keep up with their amazing journey through this difficult process.
