Nate is 4 Months Old!

Another month has come and gone. Our little baby is growing up so fast and getting cuter by the minute.

Stats:

Weight: 15 Pounds 5 Ounces - 50th-75th Percentile
Height: 26 Inches - 90th Percentile
Head Circumference: 41 Centimeters - 25th Percentile
Eating Habits:
Nathan is still eating every two hours during the day. If he is taking a good nap, Nate has been known to go three to four hours, but wakes up STARVING! Lately, Nate has only been going 5-7 hours at night between feedings. Nate still does not take a bottle very well. Grandma Ann has had some success, but mostly Mommy can't leave him for more than about three hours before he has had enough and wants to nurse. We are hoping to stretch this out a little more this next month.
Sleeping Habits:
Nathan must really be growing this month because his sleeping habits have changed. Nate hasn't wanted to go to bed until between 9 and 11. He usually will sleep for about 5 hours before he wakes up to eats. Some nights he will sleep almost 7 hours at a time. Then he goes back to sleep for 2-3 hours and is up to eat again. Nate takes two good naps for up to four hours and has been known to take several small catnaps throughout the day while playing.
Firsts This Month:
Nate went to the zoo for the first time this month. He really enjoyed being around all the kids and getting to ride in the stroller.
Nate has also found his feet this month. He loves to lay on the floor and eat and play with his toes. He keeps himself entertained for quite a while, which makes mommy very happy. Nate actually now gets mad if he can't play with his feet and is not so sure that he likes feety jammies.
This month Nate also got to take part in family pictures. He was pretty good, we just wish he was a little more smiley in the family pictures. He was ready to eat and not in the mood to smile. He looks so handsome and Mommy loves his new Sunday outfit - she is a sucker for argyle. I know it is sad that Nate's first pro pictures are when he is three months old, but that is when we got Zane's first pictures taken, so at least I am keeping with tradition.

And Because It Makes Us Laugh:
Zane loves Nathan and wants to play with him all the time. On the October 23rd, we were hanging out at home and Zane didn't want to get dressed. This meant that Nate couldn't wear clothes either. Zane thinks that Nate needs to do everything he does. So as the boys hung out in their diapers (which was nice since the weather is still int he 90's in October - Where has fall gone?), Zane wanted Nate to be "Unner" (under) the blanket with him. Nate is okay to play for a while, as long as Mommy can keep him from eating the blanket, which makes Zane mad. We are so glad that the boys are such good friends and hope that they stay friends all their lives!
