On June 6th, Mommy, Zane and Nate took a little trip to California Adventure to check out the new Little Mermaid ride that just opened on the 3rd. The wait in line was a little over an hour, but we ate our lunch while we waited and it moved really fast. You know, Disney is the king of lines and they seemed to have perfected this line so that you moved through lots of different areas and saw lots of different scenery so it didn't seem too long. The boys did great waiting and I only had to carry Nate for the last little bit. It helped that the ride is a continuous motion ride like Buzz Lightyear, so the line really does not stop.
You get into a clam shell for the ride and we were lucky enough to get the green one which made Zane very happy since that is his very favorite color. We all really enjoyed the ride and if the line hadn't been so long, probably would have tried to ride it again. We are all big fans of the music from the Little Mermaid.
After Little Mermaid, we went over to see the Disney Junior Live on Stage show. The boys were so excited to see Jake and The Neverland Pirates, their very favorite show. Both boys loved the show and Zane even got up and danced and participated, which he would not do when we went a year ago. It was very crowded, especially for a Monday, but we were glad we were able to spend some time together and ride the new ride. The boys love when we get to do something fun without the other kids we babysit every once in a while!
