Supporting Aunt Stessie

Mike's little sister, Stephanie, is on the high school's Color Guard this year. In November, we got the chance several times to go and support her. The first time was on Family Band Night at the school on Nov. 4th. We got to see the entire program for State. Steph did a great job and Nate and Zane enjoyed the music. Zane has been marching all over after seeing the band. It is really cute. The drum-line has a little performance that they do which involves some standing on their hands while playing. It was really fun to watch!
On November 11th, we went to the Veteran's Day parade. It was fun to be at the parade and see the band.Rubi and Zane enjoyed watching from the little chairs and Grandma and Papa's arms. Zane loved all the cars and motorcycles.

Grandma taught Zane about flag etiquette and covering your heart every time you see a flag. After that, Zane was reminding Grandma to cover her heart by pointing out every flag. Since it was Veteran's Day, there were a lot of flags and Grandma and Zane spent a majority of the parade like this. One of the best parts was going to Rosa's after the parade for lunch...Yummy!
