Our New Year

We had a fairly quiet New Year's this year. On December 30th, our friends the Pedersens were here from Texas and we went out to Rosa's for dinner with our other friends the McCoys. I, of course, forgot to take a picture. The food was yummy like always. After dinner, Crystal and Spencer came over with their two boys to play games. It was just like old times, before they up and moved out of state on us. On New Year's Eve, we went to my parent's house for our traditional dinner of steak and shrimp. It was so fun.
The kids enjoyed playing dress-up. Zane and Emily ran around as Power Bugs and Andrea was a princess.
Jayden also tried to be a Power Bug, but we noticed he was wearing the costume backwards when he had a six-pack on his back.
Later, Zane and Emily came in wearing just diapers and then came out as "Melmo" carrying purses. They were very cute.
After dinner, we came home to put the boys to bed. They started wrestling and laughing. We had to get it on video.
Mike and I then played Wii at Mike's parent's house. The family got it for Christmas and we are really enjoying it. Chaney and Cory and Gabe rang in the New Year with us inside the house with sparkling cider. Then we watched Robbie Kinevil jump his motorcycle in Las Vegas and went to bed.
On New Year's morning, Zane insisted on holding Nate while I changed his diaper. I thought it was pretty funny. At Mike's parent's house, we were treated to the traditional breakfast of waffles with strawberries and whip cream, lil' smokies, eggs, buttermilk pancakes and hash browns. I love that breakfast. Grammie came over and Zane enjoyed cuddling with her on the couch.
Jen and Cody and their kids were also there and we spent the day hanging out and playing Wii. The adults even let the kids enjoy one game of bowling. It was a very relaxing day.
