Our Funny Zaner

Zane has just been cracking me up lately. I just had to post some of his most recent moments.

I love that Zane calls basketball "Baket-baket-baket-ball." It sounds like he has a stutter and he spits when he says it. I love it.

When Nate wakes up, Zane says " Nate wakey-wakey-wokey morning" and gets so excited to see him.

He is really fixated on "Bad guys" right now. He doesn't know what a bad guy really is, but he knows that Jayden and Joenick get them. Zane is constantly telling me that there are bad guys in this room or that or outside or where ever. I always tell him to go get them, or that they are not in our house because Daddy doesn't let them in our house. On February 19th, I was trying to get Zane to let me change his soggy diaper without having to wrestle him. He was holding Mike's big Mag-light and he had turned all the lights off in the house (mind you it was about 11 am, so it was still very light in the house). He kept telling me that he couldn't get his diaper changed because there weer bad guys in the bedroom. I told him to go get them. Then he told me that the bad guys were in the flashlight. I turned the light on and assured Zane that I got the bad guys. He said no because there were bad guys IN his diaper. I was trying to not laugh as I encouraged him to let me change his diaper and throw the bad guys in the garbage. He quickly laid down, we changed teh diaper and he ran to throw the bad guys away. What an imagination!
Zane was supposed to be in timeout on Feb. 15th after church. His timeout spot is next to the washer in the hallway. There was laundry waiting to be washed and when he came out of timeout, this is what he looked like. I was laughing so hard I almost couldn't get the camera out. Then he kept making this face and sticking out his leg when I asked him to smile. (please ignore the mess in the picture).

On Feb. 17th, I woke up to Zane yelling through the monitor, "Mommy, Get Me Up!" I went into get him and the first thing he asked for was his pizza from the night before. I figured it wouldn't hurt him to eat it for breakfast. I went to put it on his table and he said, "No, at the big table." I laughed and said okay. Later as I was getting the boys ready to leave, nate was trying to escape while I changed his diaper so I started singing. We sang "Popcorn Popping," "Book of Mormon Stories," and then I started singing "Once I Was a Baby." Zane Yelled "No!" I asked what song he wanted to sing. He told me "I Am A Child of God." My heart melted. I went into the bathroom to finish getting ready and was thinking about how cute that was. I heard the boys laughing and went to check on them. I walked around the corner to find Zane pulling all of the wipees out of the box that I had just filled to the top. Nate was playing in all the wipees and loving every minute of it. Zane had pulled out almost every one. What a contrast.
