"No Doctor, Just Daddy!"

Mike had to be at Orientation Week all day starting August 4th. This was quite a shock to all of us since he had been able to be home every day with us for 2 weeks. We had to go out and run some errands during Mike's first day. While we were in the car, Zane asked where Daddy was? I told him that Daddy was at school. He of course asked why. I told him so that Daddy could get smart and be a doctor. He thought for a minute and then asked if Daddy was learning his letters at school. I laughed and said yes. I thought that would be the end of it. A little bit later Zane told me "I no want him to be a doctor. I want him to just be Daddy!" I told him that Daddy would still be Daddy, just a doctor too. He told me "No Doctor, Just Daddy!"

It has been a hard adjustment for the boys, especially Zane, but they are doing really well and we know that this is the right thing for our family and that it will all pay off in the end. We are really proud of Daddy for all his hard work and Zane is learning how to be supportive. We sure are glad to have Daddy home during bedtime, the boys favorite time of day. I need to get another video of their wrestle sessions.
