On July 28th, we took our first family trip to the beach. I looked online to see where a family friendly beach was. I didn't want to be in the middle of a meat market. I found Seal Beach and many reviews that said it was very family friendly, so off we went. It was only about 45 minutes from our house and we found some great parking right up close. I tried to carry Nate and he would have none of it. He wanted to be in the sand. Zane was very afraid of the ocean, which he called the "water cooler." He wouldn't let us get near the water so we sat on the beach and played in the sand and watched Daddy in the water. Nate was covered in sand and probably ate a whole bucket full. It was useless trying to keep the sand out of his mouth, but at least he was happy. It was a great time and the boys slept all the way home. Who could ask for anything more?
