No matter how much Mommy wanted Nate to be walking for his first birthday, he just wasn't on the same boat. Then we were just hoping that he would be walking before we moved so everyone could see him. Thankfully he was taking steps and sometimes even walking across rooms.
However, Nate still preferred to crawl. That was until we moved. Once he got to the new house, it was like a light bulb was switched on and he was walking constantly. It happened so instantly and at such a busy time that we didn't get a video of him just walking. The next week the family got to see him walking on Skype and sort of feel like they were here with us. The week after we moved here, we went to the beach and people were commenting on how well Nate walked on the sand. They were even more astonished when we told them that he had only started walking the week before. Nate loves the beach and the sand. That's when we knew he was supposed to grow up a California boy. Stay tuned for the next post on our first family trip to the beach!
