Freezer Jam

I joined a co-op in our area that allows me to get a lot of fresh fruit and veggies for pretty cheap. Most are locally grown and sometimes there are some new veggies that I get to learn how to cook. I got some strawberries and blackberries, so I decided to try my hand at making freezer jam. I made 2 batches of blackberry on April 28th, 1 batch of blackberry and 2 batches of strawberry on April 29th and 2 batches of apricot on July 1st.
It was so easy to make. I used the regular Sure-Jell (in the yellow box) for the blackberry and apricot and low sugar Sure-Jell ( in the pink box) for the strawberry. I followed the instructions in the package, chopped up the fruit in the food processor, cooked the Sure-jell, filled the containers, let it sit out for 24 hours and then put it in the freezer.
They have made great gifts and been fabulous to enjoy on sandwiches, toast and rolls. If you have an extra freezer and no shelf space like I do, this is the way to go. I can't wait to make peach jam next.

YUMMY!!!! I just made it for my first time not to look ago & Parker asked for "ham" on his toast every morning now:)

PS...I used the package in the purple box with a bagel on the front & you don't even have to cook it. Just pour it in and stir. EASY EASY!
