Well, life is crazy here in Gifford land, as I am sure it is for all of you. We just had a busy week and are glad that life has slowed down a bit. Friday, the 14th started the craziness. Mike worked and Kim and Zane babysat for several hours. Then it was time for a nap for Zane, Mike's work party and Kim getting ready for Mike's graduation dinner. Mike only stayed at his party for a short time so he could come home and help. We had a little dinner for Mike before his graduation. We are grateful for our families for helping with the dinner and helping celebrate this special day. We left for Mike's graduation at 7 pm and were lucky enough to get in one of the few sections of soft chairs in Wells Fargo Arena. Thankfully, the graduation was fabulous, being only 45 minutes long. We were on our way home an hour and 15 minutes after it started. We really lucked out. Thank you to Christi and Jason for keeping Zane so we did not have to take him at bed time.

Then, Saturday morning was our primary pancake breakfast. I recruited my dad and brother and Mike to help me cook the pancakes. If you have seen my dad's huge griddle you know why I needed him and his skills and equipment. The pancakes were a huge hit. It was too cold for me to worry about taking pictures. Sorry. A big thank you to Karma and Stephanie for watching Zane so we didn't have to wake him up and take him.
As soon as we got home from the breakfast, we got ready and went Christmas shopping with my dad and brother. We got some great deals. We hurried home so I could go celebrate my little sister, Julie's, birthday. My mom, Julie and her friend all went for pedicures! Yea for happy winter toes.
Then, Mike and I went Christmas shopping and on a date to the Cheesecake Factory. The food was fabulous, as was the Godiva Chocolate cheesecake that we shared. It was nice to go on a date. It had been a while. Another big thank you goes to Grandma and Papa Gifford for keeping Zane so we could go out.
Sunday, we celebrated Julie's 22nd birthday. We had ham for dinner and funfetti cake for dessert. It was a wonderful way to end the Sabbath. As a side note, Zane turned 18 months on Sunday and so now can finally go to nursery. We are so excited, but we wish Zane was so excited and would stop crying when we leave him. Thankfully, Grandma subbed on Sunday and Zane didn't cry at all.
