On March 8th, we drove up to Snowflake to for Grandma and Grandpa Despain's mission farewell. It was a long day. We decided to drive up and back in one day. Zane did pretty well on the drive up. About 30 minutes before we got there, I started to doze off and he proceeded to tear up a roll and a brand new box of Kleenex on Mike's freshly vacuumed car. Thankfully, Nathan was an angel in the car. He slept and played and hardly cried.
We had about an hour when we got there to eat and change before church. However, it was not long enough and Mike, Zane, Nate and I spent church out in the hallway while the boys crawled all over the foyer. Nate was fighting sleep and Zane was fighting his allergic reaction to the sedative (see previous post).
After church we had a yummy dinner of turkey, ham and all the trimmings at the social hall. Zane ran all over with all the kids. We got the chance to take pictures of all the great-grandkids but two with Grandma and Grandpa. We also got a picture with Nate and Grandma Brewer, his Great-Great-Grandma, since we didn't have one. By 5 pm, we were back in the car to drive home. Zane didn't sleep at all the entire time. He started screaming about a half hour before we got home. We just had to laugh, and we were so glad that we made the trip.
We hope Grandma and Grandpa have a great time in Nauvoo. We know that they will be great missionaries and hope we get to go visit them while they are there. We Love You!
