Sadly, the end of September has come and gone. I was looking at my pictures to catch up my blog and realized that I hardly took any pictures in September. How sad! We did things, but I guess I was just to lazy to take pictures (or subconsciously, I just didn't want to blog about the picture so I didn't take them. What ever the reason, I don't have much to show for this last month. We were busy though.
Mike was busy going to school and studying. He had one anatomy test and one other test this month. When he wasn't studying, he tried to spend as much time with the boys as he could. Every night they wrestle and tickle. He also worked on his motorcycle some and we put cedar mulch in our backyard area. After helping me run errands and watching a few movies from Net Flix, he had little time to himself. Of course, this month we celebrated his birthday, but he wanted it real low key, so we didn't ever even end up singing to him or taking any pictures.
I was busy entertaining Zane and Nate. We went home for Labor Day and had a blast. We had a few get togethers with friends from school. We met more people from our ward and had a few play dates. I was assigned 4 ladies to visit teach, so that kept me busy too. Of course I fought with the newspaper company to get a newspaper delivered and it seems to have finally worked. I had several doctor's appointments trying to figure out how to help my body react better to the stress it is under. Yea for no cysts on my face for the first time in 3 months!
Zane and Nate have been sick this last week. They have barking coughs, but I think they are starting to get better. I think that they are getting more adjusted to living away from family. Zane only proclaims that he doesn't want to live in California anymore every once in a while.
Mike and I went to the Redlands temple again this month for ward temple night. Our friends the Cady's let us tag along with them again and we went out to eat at Red Lobster afterwards. They have an all-you-can-eat shimp platter that the guys we went with loved. Mike even ordered it. The other 3 guys got 10 plates, but Mike only ordered about 7 and ate about 6. I helped him some, and some he didn't like. They have fabulous Teriyaki shrimp though, for anyone that goes. We were gone for 6 hours. Poor Kayla, our babysitter, for having to deal with her brother and sister and our two boys that long. The boys don't cry when we leave them with her and so we love Kayla.
Also, we have been trying to get completely settled into our house. We got a desk and dresser from Grammie which have helped us organize our living room and the boys room better. I sorted all the toys and put them in bins on the bookcase. We worked on our little backyard area so the boys can go out there and play a little more. I have been trying to go through papers in the filing cabinet and throw out more stuff.
All in all, it was a good month and we are looking forward to October. Christi is due any day with her baby. The boys and I are flying to Mesa for Andrea's baptism and the baby's blessing. Halloween is coming and we are excited to decorate, dress up and party! Mike is ready to be done with anatomy, but isn't necessarily looking forward to the class coming next on the cellular level of the body. I will try to stay more up to date with the blog.
