Zane is 2 and a 1/2 years old!

My little Zaner is growing so fast. I can't believe that he is already 2 and a 1/2. He is turning into such a little boy and not even a toddler any more. In honor of his 2 1/2 year birthday, I wanted to post some pictures of things he has done the last month or so.

His language skill are improving so much. He uses full sentences. It is so cute when he asks me to open things because he says it backwards "Open Me." He loves to watch the movie "Cars" and calls it "Race Cars" and wants to watch it at least once a day. He grabs the video game controller and yells "beedeo game" (video game) and thinks that he is driving the cars on the movie. It is the only way that Mommy can take a shower if he is awake.

Zane loves to help Mommy and Daddy. He is starting to want to cook and help do dishes. he loves to sweep and vacuum still and has developed a love for mopping. He like to ask me if "Mommy meekin deener?" when I am making dinner.

He cracks up over things that Nate does and lives to cheer him on. He loves his little brother and can't wait until they can run around together. He is also getting very protective of Nate. He doesn't want any other kids to touch his Nate. Rubi loves to tease and takes Nate's lovey and Zane runs and gets it "No Nate's!" and gives it back to him. They are so cute together.

Zane loves anything that Daddy is doing and especially the "Jesskis." He has never been on them in the water, but loves to sit on them in the back yard and pretend he is driving. He wants everyone else to join him too.

Zane also loves all things boy, including trucks and sports. He calls all balls or sports with balls "baketbaketbaketball" (basketball, but it sounds like he has a stutter and he spits when he says it). On the November 21st, I was nursing Nate and Zane decided to try to play baseball with daddy. He did bring me the camera, but would not cooperate with me so I could take his picture without making Nate stop eating. These are the only pictures I could get, and they aren't very good. He had on the glove and wore it to bat. and try to catch the ball. mommy tried to tell them not to swing the bat in the house, but since Zane is pretty good at swinging the bat, Daddy let him. How soon can we sign him up for Little League?

Our Zaner is very social and loves playing with the cousins and riding bikes. He loves being with his grandparents too. We just need to improve his sharing skills so others will want to be with him.Ayla and Zane 11-22-08

On November 16th, Zane insisted on wearing his tie with his play clothes after church. I hope that this is not an early indication of his style sense.
