Nate is 6 Months Old

Nate is 6 months old and we are so excited to see him continue to grow and change. This was a big month for Nate!
Stats:

Height 28 inches, 90th Percentile
Weight: 17 pounds 11 ounces, 50-75th Percentile
Head Circumference: 43 Centimeters, 25th Percentile
Eating Habits:
Nate got to try cereal for the first time this past month. He is still having problems using his tongue and so eating cereal is hard sometimes, but he loves it. He has had rice cereal and oatmeal and likes them both. Nate still eats every two hours and eats about 4 ounces at each feeding. He has gotten better at taking a bottle because sometimes that is all he gets. We are trying to make an appointment to meet with a feeding therapist to help Nate figure out how to use his tongue better. Mommy can't wait until it no longer hurts to have Nate eat.
Sleeping Habits:
Nate had given us a good treat for the last week. He has started sleeping through the night. He goes to bed around 9 and wakes up about 6. Then, he usually goes back to sleep for a few more hours. If he does wake up at night, it is usually around 2 and will go right back to sleep. He still loves to be swaddled and is the only way to get him to go to sleep. Nate usually takes three naps a day, one at 10 or 11 and then at 1 or 2 when Zane goes down. He sleeps for about an hour in the morning and about 3 in the afternoon. He gets tired again in the evening and will sleep for about an hour. I love it when he takes his evening nap when I am cooking dinner, but hate when it is at like 7. Every once in a while, he will take a binky to go to sleep, but this is very rare.

Firsts This Month:
Of course, Nate had his first Christmas yesterday. He seemed to like the presents and being with all of the family. He also got to sit on Santa's Lap for the first time.
Nate starting sitting up this month on his own. Zane is having fun with Nate and enjoys cheering him on. We took this video on Dec. 10th.

We had some music on while we were cheering Nate on to sit. Zane decided that it would be fun to hold Nate's hands and help him dance. It was very cute until Nate feel over, then Zane just held him. They love each other so much and Nate can't wait to get up and go with his brother.

Just For Fun:
Nate had a lot of fun playing with his grandparents and great-grandparents this month. We love the holidays and getting to spend so much time with family.
