This guy, Jonny Wudel, from Gilbert, is running in the Boston marathon and has to hold fundraisers to raise money for charity in order to run. I heard he has to raise something like $4,000. Since liver disease has affected our family so closely, we wanted to help out this great cause. It was a brisk morning for the one mile walk, but once we started walking it wasn't too bad. I think the kids had a great time and it was good exercise for me.
Ready, Set, Go! Joenick was so cute to hold Nate's hand for a good part of the walk. He is so sweet with all hte little kids.
Bethany, Evienne and Becky starting the walk.
Yes, I am trying to push a double stroller and talk on the phone, what a multitasker I am. Mike called with a question just as we started the walk.
Grandma Ann and Evienne running to finish the race. Evienne was so funny. She told Grandma Ann, " I didn't know Grandmas could run!"
Bethany and I bringing up the rear. It was a small group of walkers, there were many more who ran the 5K at the same time, and we were the last ones to finish. And yes, we finished our walk after the first runners finished their run...guess we are slow.
Joenick receiving his medal at the end for finishing. Thanks Jonny for picking a great charity to donate to and for organizing this event. Good Luck in the Boston Marathon!
